 Parents of young children really appreciate our fenced in playground with its huge sandbox; while the bigger "kids" are free to explore the forest around us, or play a game of volleyball.
After Thanksgiving, a Christmas tree permit can be purchased at the local ranger station. Deerfield Lake, our favorite for ice fishing, is just 14 miles from us. You will also find snowmobile rentals and cross country trailheads nearby. Our availability in the winter months is varied and advance reservations are required. Please give us a call and if we can't accommodate you we'll help you find someone who can. |

 THE FOUR SEASONS CABINS WITH FIREPLACES are open year round and have been popular with couples and families as well. They feature new Black Hills knotty pine interiors and gas log fireplaces. Each cabin has a private bath with shower or tub/shower, sink and stool. You'll also have color cable TV with a DVD/CD player. All of the cabins are non-smoking and no pets. Smoking is permitted outside on the covered front porches.
Aspen, Birch, Cedar & Dakota are our new 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom duplex units. Aspen & Birch are two cabins in one building and Cedar & Dakota are in another. Knotty pine inside and out, each of the four 500sq. ft. cabins has its own 8x8 covered porch and separate entrance on opposite ends of the building. There is a queen size bed in one bedroom and small second bedroom with built in twin size bunkbeds. The TV is in the queen bedroom. There is also a single sofa-bed/love seat in the living room/kitchenette area. This area features gas log fireplace, a kitchenette with microwave, electric skillet, chef's pot for boiling or slow cooking, toaster, coffee maker and under counter refrigerator. A table, four chairs, and a rocker complete the room. With the exception of Cedar, which has a handicapped accessible walk-in shower, each unit has a bathroom with tub & shower. Sorry, no pets. No smoking. OCCUPANCY: 1-5 people.
Three Pines, formerly known as cabin #3, has been recently renovated to join our four season cabins. This 500sq. ft., 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom cabin is an individual cabin and also features Black Hills knotty pine interior. The bedroom has 2 queen size beds and bathroom with a shower. There is a full size futon sofa-bed in the kitchenette/living room where the TV is located. The kitchenette has an apartment sized stove, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator, sink and table chairs. The free standing gas log fireplace is in the kitchenette/living room. This cabin features an 8x24 foot covered front porch. Sorry, no pets. No smoking. OCCUPANCY: 1-6 people.

 OUR THREE SEASON SIMPLE COUNTRY CABINS are basically set-up alike with 1 bedroom, small bathroom, and kitchenette/living room area - yet each has character of its own. "Clean and cozy" is our motto at Pine Rest. The cabins are heated. All have pine or hardwood floor. Each kitchenette has a stove, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, refrigerator, sink, table and chairs with variations in Cabin #5 as described below. Bathrooms all include shower, sink, and stool. All units have color cable TV with VCR/DVD/CD Player. All of the cabins are non-smoking and no pets. Smoking is permitted outside on the covered porches. These cabins are open spring through fall.
#1 & 2- these two small, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom cabins are in one building. Each half of the duplex is 350 sq. ft. and has a separate entrance, while they share the front porch. Both have a queen size bed in the bedroom and a full size futon sofabed in the kitchenette/living room area. Sorry, no pets. No smoking. OCCUPANCY: 1-4 people.
#4, & #8- are medium size 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom cabins, each approximately 500 sq. ft. The bedroom is equipped with two queen size beds. The kitchen has a full size futon sofabed. These cabins feature an 8x24 foot covered front porch. Sorry, no pets. No smoking. OCCUPANCY: 1-6 people.
#5-is one large cabin with one bedroom and 2 bathrooms, approximately 750 sq. ft. Over 100 years old, this cabin has walls covered with bark facing, decorated with the rose-crucifiction, which was the original design of Black Hills Gold. It also features a stone fireplace with woodburning stove insert. The main cabin is one large room with the sleeping area divided from the kitchenette/living area by two log-type bookcases. The kitchenette has a microwave, electric skillet, chef's pot for boiling or slow cooking, toaster, coffee maker and 2 under counter refrigerators. The sleeping area has 2 single beds, which can be converted to a king size bed upon your request, and a bathroom with shower. The kitchenette/living area also has a full size futon sofabed. The attached bedroom has its own bathroom with tub & shower and 2 queen size beds. The floors of this old cabin are a bit unlevel. This cabin features an 8x24 foot covered front porch. - DEPOSIT in the amount of one nights stay plus tax or 50% of the total reservation ( whichever is greater) secures your cabin, dates and rate. Holidays, Group Reservations and Special Events may require rental agreement, and variation in routine deposit and cancellation policy.
- We accept Visa, Discover and Mastercard or a Personal Check for the deposit. Do not send credit card information via email.
- Credit card deposits are billed at the time of booking and subject to our two week cancellation policy.
- Checks must be received within a week of booking to guarantee your reservation and subject to our two week cancellation policy.

- Confirmation will be emailed or sent to your postal address upon receipt and processing of your deposit.
- Balance will be due upon arrival. You are responsible for payment of all dates reserved regardless of early departure or late arrival.
- Cancellation notice must be received two weeks prior to arrival to guarantee a full refund of your deposit .
- Cancellation with less than two weeks notice will receive refund of deposit if we are able to re-rent the cabin for all of the dates and rate at which it was held.

- Sorry, no pets. We have family pets that freely roam the property and we need to protect their health and safety, as well as yours.
- Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally: Please e-mail or call to request a Rally Rental Agreement for reservation, deposit and cancellation policies.
- GROUPS during the summer season must be limited to 2 or 3 cabins (16 people or less) without exception. Although one person may call to book the cabins , we ask that separate deposits be sent for each cabin booked and by an adult who will be occupying that cabin.
- SORRY, ABSOLUTELY NO RV'S or CAMPING, we are not licensed or set up for it. We would be happy to refer camping members of your group to excellent nearby facilities.

THE BATHHOUSE is the place to be after an active day of outdoor pursuits. The hot tub is available year round for ages 12 and up. During the cool months our Finnish Sauna is a popular hot spot! The traditional Finnish Sauna is heated by wood, so give us some notice if you would like us to have it stoked up for you.
